Casual Gaming – Pixel Junk Monsters

 

“Time after Time” I hear myself singing the Cyndi Lauper hit from the 80’s.  You may be asking yourself, “What does a #5 song in the Holland Single Charts in 1984 have to do with this game?” “Time After Time” and Pixel Junk Monsters are the same in that I can play PJM for “Time after Time” and hours at end.  OK, maybe the relationship is not there, but what IS there is the fun, casual, pick-up and go game-play.

This game features a single and two player mode. The sounds are very soothing and are a pleasant distraction from the explosions and bullets from COD4. I’d say give it shot, you won’t be disappointed.

COD4 Gun Sounds Video

Daniel over at Gaming today posted a very cool COD4 video. This video just shows how a great FPS game with editing tools can create a hit on my iPod.

“The video above was created by Serpento, and it seems the first day this video was released it received a whopping 17,000 views. I think the combination of Call of Duty 4 and wonderfully timed music made this the video very popular. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to shoot off some rounds on Call of Duty 4. Hopefully I’ll make some kind of reggae music video.”

I think anything COD4 will be hot right now, so if you have an “Overgrown Tossed Salad” recipe, submit it to food network. I personally think a Frag Flashbang clothing line would be the new craze.

Stephany of Gaming Today discovered an interesting item for sale on eBay. There’s always something unexpected when it comes to games on there, and this time it’s certainly something I wouldn’t have expected to find on the site.

I No Longer Work For Ziff Davis Media

It would be unprofessional for me to go into details about the situation on here, so all I can really say is that i handed in my resignation today.    I suppose this means I am back to the world of freelance writing.  I already have some plans to create a new gaming site sometime this summer, but will have to see how things go.  Fortunately, I will now have more time to tend to G4M3R Weblog and will also be doing a little writing for Binge Gamer (bingegamer.net).  For now, we’ll just have to see how things go as far as my writing career in the gaming industry.  Right now, many things are up in the air…
